Consultation
Before your Skin Stylus microneedling treatment in Winchester, you’ll meet with one of our providers for a skin consultation. Your provider will discuss any concerns you have about your skin, as well as what you’d like to accomplish. We will also discuss any sensitivities your skin may have.

Treatment
A topical numbing agent will be used to ensure your comfort during your treatment. Your provider will then use the Skin Stylus microneedling tool to lightly pierce the skin with tiny (micro) needles to inspire your skin to repair itself, creating new skin and boosting collagen production naturally. To conclude your session, your provider will apply a soothing gel that will soothe the skin and help to prevent it from drying out.

Pre-Care Instructions
Prior to Skin Stylus in Winchester, Blossom Medical Recommends:
6 Months Before Treatment
Discontinue the use of oral isotretinoin.
1 Week Before Treatment
Minimize sun exposure, do not use a tanning bed, and use sunscreen for extra protection. Discontinue use of aspirin, naproxen (Aleve, Naprosyn), coconut oil, omega-3 fatty acids (fish oil; ingestion of fish), ginseng, gingko, turmeric/curcumin, St.John’s Wort. Stop using ibuprofen 3 days before treatment. Note: Acetaminophen (Tylenol, Advil) can be used before and after treatment.
Day of Treatment
Discontinue the use of retinoid creams and wash the treatment area with a non-abrasive cleanser (no exfoliation). If you are prone to cold sores, take any relevant medication you are prescribed. Ensure 24 hours since your last autoimmune therapy session, if applicable.

Post-Care Instructions
Following Skin Stylus in Winchester, Blossom Medical Recommends:
4 Hours After
For 4 hours after treatment, use only SkinFuse Lift HG on the treated area. After 4 hours you may use your normal skincare products except retinoids and exfoliating products.
Day of Treatment
Try to avoid sun exposure and for the remainder of the day, avoid clothing on the treated area (i.e. hats, scarves, headbands, or any other clothing). If this cannot be avoided, then use only cotton clothing that has not been treated with fabric softener or dryer sheets. If you are prone to cold sores continue medication for 5 days after treatment. For discomfort, you may take acetaminophen (i.e. Tylenol, Advil).
3 to 5 Days After Treatment (or once skin is no longer sensitive or peeling)
You may resume retinoid use and the use of alpha-hydroxy acids (e.g. lactic acid, glycolic acid, malic acid). You may also resume using salicylic acid, scrubs, and exfoliating products.
